Y Series General Pressure Gauge
Product Overview
Section titled “Product Overview”The Y Series General Pressure Gauge is a pointer-type mechanical pressure gauge for on-site pressure indication. It is suitable for measuring the pressure of liquid or gas media that are non-explosive, non-crystallizing, non-solidifying and non-corrosive to copper alloys.
The gauge is available in multiple dial diameters and mounting structures, including bottom mounting, back mounting and flange-mounted configurations. It is commonly used for general industrial pressure indication where a simple, reliable and direct-reading instrument is required.

Applications
Section titled “Applications”- Pressure measurement of non-explosive liquid or gas media.
- Pressure indication for media that do not crystallize or solidify.
- General pressure measurement where the medium is non-corrosive to copper-alloy wetted parts.
- Local pressure indication on pipelines, equipment and auxiliary systems.
- Installations requiring bottom mounting, back mounting or panel/flange mounting.
Product Features
Section titled “Product Features”- Direct pressure indication: The pressure value is shown by a pointer and dial, making field reading simple and intuitive.
- Bourdon tube sensing element: The pressure-sensitive Bourdon tube drives the movement through mechanical deformation.
- Multiple dial sizes: Dial diameters from 60 mm to 250 mm are available for different visibility and installation requirements.
- Flexible mounting forms: Bottom mounting, back mounting and front or rear flange mounting configurations can be selected.
- Wide pressure range: Vacuum, compound and positive pressure ranges are available according to model size.
- Optional accessories: Damping device, heat dissipater, overpressure protector and subcooling pipe can be selected for special working conditions.
Product Principle
Section titled “Product Principle”The measuring system consists of a connection, a Bourdon tube and a transmission mechanism. The Bourdon tube is bent into a circular shape with an elliptical cross-section. When the measured medium enters the tube, the pressure causes the tube cross-section to tend toward a circular shape. The amount of deformation depends on the pressure of the measured medium.
This deformation is transferred through the movement and indicated by the pointer. C-type Bourdon tubes can be used for measuring pressures up to 10 MPa. For higher pressures, the Bourdon tube uses multiple coils or spiral coils on the same plane.
