Armored Thermocouple

Armored thermocouples are normally used together with display instruments, recording instruments and electronic computers. They directly measure the temperatures of liquid, steam, gas media and solid surfaces in production processes, within a measurement range of 0 to 1300°C. The thermocouple is made from two different conductor materials. A temperature difference between the measuring end and reference end generates a thermoelectric potential, which the instrument indicates as the corresponding temperature.

Armored thermocouple with multiple probe lengths and mounting configurations.

  • Temperature measurement of liquid, steam and gas media in production processes.
  • Solid surface temperature measurement.
  • Applications requiring temperature measurement and recording together with display instruments, recording instruments or electronic computers.
  • Short thermal response time to reduce dynamic errors.
  • Bendable mounting for use and adaptation to site routing.
  • Large measurement range, with a maximum of 1300°C.
  • High mechanical strength and good pressure resistance.
  • Junction box protection level available in IP65 and IP66.
  • Fixed thread.
  • Adjustable ferrule thread.
  • Fixed flange.
  • Adjustable ferrule flange.
  • A contact block additional device (M) or hoop additional device (G) is available. For contact block or hoop selection, provide the pipe or furnace-wall diameter R.
