Thermocouple Extension and Compensating Wire and Cable

Thermocouple extension and compensating wires and cables connect thermocouples to measuring devices. Within the specified temperature range, their thermoelectric characteristics match or correspond to the paired thermocouple, helping compensate for measurement errors caused by temperature changes at the connection point. Extension and compensating types, shielding and intrinsic-safety constructions are available.

  • Connections between K-type thermocouples and display, recording or control instruments.
  • Temperature measurement circuits requiring high-temperature, oil-resistant, corrosion-resistant or shielded cable.
  • Chemical, metallurgy, power, machinery and automation systems.
  • Maximum operating temperature: 200℃ for heat-resistant types and 70℃ or 105℃ for general types.
  • Minimum laying temperature: -15℃ for fluoroplastic insulated and sheathed cables and 0℃ for PVC constructions.
  • Minimum bending radius: 16D for copper-tape-shielded cables and 10D for other constructions.
  • PVC, fluoroplastic, glass braid, copper braid shielding and intrinsic-safety constructions are available.
