SBW Series Temperature Transmitter
Product Overview
Section titled “Product Overview”The SBW series thermocouple and thermal resistor temperature transmitters are field-mounted temperature-transmitter units used with industrial thermocouples and RTDs. They use a two-wire transmission mode to convert industrial thermocouple and thermal-resistor signals into linear 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 mA output signals. The transmitter can be directly installed in the junction box of a thermocouple or RTD to form an integrated structure.
Applications
Section titled “Applications”- Temperature-signal conversion with industrial thermocouples and RTDs.
- Installation in thermocouple or RTD junction boxes, or as a functional module in testing equipment and instrument panels.
- Applicable sectors include metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industry, electric power, light industry, textile, food, national defense and scientific research among the applicable industrial sectors.
Product Advantages
Section titled “Product Advantages”- Silicone or epoxy-resin sealed construction is shock-resistant and moisture-resistant for harsh site environments.
- Direct 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 mA output in a sensor junction box improves anti-interference performance during long-distance signal transmission.
- Thermocouple transmitters provide cold-end temperature automatic compensation.
- Isolated type available, with 0.5 kV isolation voltage between input and output.
- Intelligent type supports remote information management, configuration, variable monitoring, calibration and maintenance through a HART protocol, handheld device or PC.
- Intelligent type can adjust the display direction and display medium temperature, changes in sensor value, output current and percentage.
Installation Methods
Section titled “Installation Methods”- Conventional type: used as a field module.
- Guide rail type: installed on a guide rail.
- Can be directly installed in the junction box of a thermocouple or RTD.
- Wiring arrangements are available for the intelligent and HART temperature modules.
